Jessie J, who revealed her breast cancer diagnosis at the start of June 2025, opened up about her experience after undergoing the surgery.
In an Instagram post shared on June 23, 2025, the singer and songwriter shared a carousel which showed herself in the hospital, her 2-year-old son Sky, and her boyfriend, Chanan Safir Colman, who is a former basketball player. She has now returned home and is resting, E! News reported.
The 37-year-old, whose real name is Jessica Ellen Cornish, broke the news of her cancer in an Instagram post on June 4, 2025. She stated in her clip that she was diagnosed with early breast cancer. She said that she has been through tests and is hoping for the best.
According to a report in People magazine, Jessie J underwent surgery one week after her performance at her final show at Capital’s Summertime Ball, which was held at Wembley Stadium in London on June 15, 2025.

After her cancer treatment, singer Jessie J shared an update on her health with her fans and followers on Instagram. She described the “lows and highs” during that time. Sharing a series of pictures and clips, including a selfie from her hospital bed, she wrote in the caption :
“Blood warning. This post is some of the honest lows and highs of the last 48 hours. I will always show the good and hard bits of any journey I go through.”
She continued, thanking her team of doctors and nurses and added:
“Grateful to my doctor / surgeon and all the nurses who cared for me and all my family / friends who came to visit. I am home now, to rest and wait for my results. Chanan is in a nurse outfit. No no, he isn’t, but funny to imagine. Still hugging everyone going through something tough right now. We all got this!”

In her post, Jessie J showed her body marks post-surgery. In one of the videos, we saw her boyfriend, Chanan Safir Colman, holding her hand and kissing her head while she was in the hospital. She revealed in another clip that she was at the hospital for six and a half hours before heading to the theatre.
In one video, she is seen draining her blood out of her breasts and called it a ‘goji berry smoothie’. In the last video, she gently explains to her 2-year-old son about her draining process as he sits there holding the bottle.
