The tensions between LeBron James and Aubrey “Drake” Graham have appeared to hit a new low with the latter’s recent track. In “What Did I Miss?,” Drizzy has seemingly dissed the LA Lakers star, who made an appearance at Kendrick Lamar’s The Pop Out: Ken & Friends concert last year in June.

After an unexpected release from Drake, @viraldrizzy posted a video of Jaleel White on X, where he talked about the NBA legend switching up on the Toronto rapper. The Family Matters actor is seen giving his take on why LeBron James attended Kendrick Lamar’s concert, despite being friends with Drizzy.

For those unaware, the video is originally from the month-old episode of the Everybody Lurks Podcast. In the clip, Jaleel tells his co-host, Joseph Vecsey, that LeBron James attended the Not Like Us rapper’s one-off concert because he was the hottest thing then, seemingly due to his beef with 6 God. White says in the video,

“There are some celebrities who are drawn to what's hot. No different than any regular degular. It's like ‘Yo that's hot that's hot. I gotta be, I gotta be near that.’ And then there's another celebrity that is drawn to what serves them on a human level, like, ‘I don't care if that's hot. Does that serve me? Do I belong in that room? how does that serve me?”

He sums up his opinion on why LeBron James was at Kendrick’s concert,

“I think he was drawn to what was extremely hot, at the time. And that being at Kendrick's show. [...] This was the place to be.”

Jaleel White further explains his point of view,

"There's certain people, I don't care how hot their event is, if I don't jive with what they are I ain't going in there. It could be the hottest thing going, but if what they stand for is just not what represents me or we have a conflict of interest [...] I'm just not going to go right, but there's another professional public figure that's like the hottest spot to be, I’m going to be there.”

Previously, Drake and LeBron James were seen together multiple times, but their friendship seemingly hit rock bottom last year.

Drake seemingly unfollowed LeBron James on Instagram, months after the latter attended Kendrick Lamar’s concert

K. Dot’s The Pop Out concert happened in Toronto on Juneteenth last year. Notable names, including Rick Ross, The Weeknd, SZA, Ayo Edebiri, Lauren London, and more, attended the one-off show. At the same time, NBA stars such as LeBron James, Russell Westbrook, DeMar DeRozan, James Harden, and Coby White were also seen at the event.

Drake reportedly unfollowed the Lakers star on Instagram in October, months after Kendrick Lamar’s concert. At the same time, LeBron James still follows the God’s Plan rapper on the platform. Interestingly, @LakersDailyCom shared a video, clicked by @LoJoMedia on X, that featured the NBA pro vibing to Drake’s song while practicing.

In January 2025, Drizzy released Irish Fight Freestyle and seemingly dissed James for changing sides. Six months later, Drake dropped What Did I Miss? and seemingly took another shot at LeBron for attending the concert. The rapper appeared to reference the event in the following lyric (via Genius),

“I saw bro went to Pop Out with them, but been d**k riding gang since ‘Headlines’”

For those unaware, LeBron James and Stephen Curry were previously mentioned in K. Dot’s Meet the Grahams. In July 2024, James revealed in a viral video that he loved Not Like Us, while Steph shared his annoyance at having to listen to the song repeatedly during practice.
