Lil Wayne dropped a remix track, Banned From NO, featuring Nicki Minaj on June 11, 2025. This comes after Wayne's new album, Tha Carter VI, was released on June 6. She has now reunited with Wayne for the remix track, the original of which was featured on Wayne's Tha Carter VI.
Nicki reposted Wayne's announcement post on her X, and described her and Wayne as "Queen & the GOAT." She added a shoutout,

For those unversed, Nicki and Lil Wayne share a long-term friendship, with the former first signed by the latter onto his label, Young Money Entertainment.

Nicki Minaj and Lil Wayne's new remix track is the Young Money reunion fans were looking forward to. According to Billboard, Nicki reportedly takes a dig at podcaster, Shannon Sharpe, who has reportedly been previously critical of Nicki's work. She raps,
“If I send a pic of Shannon you ain’t that Sharpe/ Cause you still can’t spell Prague and that’s horrible."
Additionally, Minaj didn't shy away from referencing NFL for their 2025 Super Bowl performance selection. The singer has previously expressed frustration about it on her social media, per The Rolling Stone. In Banned From NO, she raps,
“NFL, fire some n***s and then call us."
