A$AP Rocky is keeping it real about Rihanna and the music their fans are still waiting on.
In his recent interview with Elle, published Sept. 23, A$AP Rocky revealed that even RiRi teases him about their diehard supporters being more impatient for albums than baby announcements.
“You know what we joke about? She’s like, ‘Yo, I ain’t gonna lie. Your fans might want to kick your a** as much as my fans wanna kick my a**. What saves me is that I’m pregnant most of the time.’”
During his chat with the magazine, the rapper also admitted that he and Rihanna don't know their baby's gender yet, although he wishes it's a daughter.
“I hope it’s a girl. I really do. We’re praying for a girl. Our first time, we wanted to know the sex of the baby. The second time, we didn’t want to know. Third time, we don’t want to know until, you know.”
He added:
“I feel like it’s going to be a girl. This pregnancy is so different from the other two. You can tell from the experience. I hope it’s a baby girl, man. I need that.”
A$AP Rocky confirms his crew is still intact: "I don’t have animosity toward anybody"
Although A$AP Rocky's own releases are scarce, with only three full-length albums and singles in 14 years, fans still anticipate what he has in store for them. This is something that the "Sundress" hitmaker acknowledges, but he also factors in industry politics, leaks, and the felony assault trial as the cause of the delay.
"It’s my career. Do I depend on that to get my money? No. And that’s what people should appreciate about me. That’s not my cash cow. I treat it with way more spirituality. It’s sacred."

In February, A$AP Rocky was found not guilty in a gun assault trial, where he was accused of firing at a former friend after a fight in 2021. Despite this, the musician told Elle that his A$AP Mob hasn't split, and is in the process of "repairing woulds."
“I ain’t bullsh**ting. This ain’t no politically correct answer. Anybody who used to be my protégés, my friends, my musical band partners, and they don’t f**k with me, that’s ’cause they don’t f**k with me. I don’t have animosity toward anybody. I don’t have a reason to. I’m too happy.”
The "Praise the Lord" rapper added that he sees his mentees as his children, having "played a father figure" for them despite their little age gap.
"When you’ve got 13 people living in a one-bedroom apartment, and you just got money—especially when you don’t have to. So I look at it as my children just being rebellious."
A$AP Rocky clarified:
“I’m not trying to paint myself out to be a victim. I really do sleep well at night, because I know I’m not trying to do anybody dirty. I just want everybody to be together.”
