GloRilla and Megan Thee Stallion’s friendship came out of a bitter situation recently. This goes back to when GloRilla used one of Tory Lanez’s songs in an Instagram story this week. For the unversed, Lanez is facing prison time for the 2020 incident where he shot Stallion. According to People magazine, he was convicted and has been imprisoned.
The rift in their friendship was reportedly noticed by fans on May 21, 2025, when they learned that GloRilla and Stallion had allegedly unfollowed each other on social media after the former used the song.
The outlet noted that Stallion cleansed her social media of everything related to GloRilla. On May 22, 2025, the latter shared an X post, writing:
“Ion internet sh*t and I don’t do mess! It was an innocent repost yall bsn.”
As per the latest updates, it is now reported that the two singers have started following each other again. Megan Thee Stallion recently shared her thoughts about Tory Lanez on TikTok, expressing frustration over being repeatedly forced to relive the trauma of being shot.
She said this was mainly because of people who defended Tory Lanez or denied his involvement. She questioned why his fans kept spreading false information—first claiming she was never shot, then admitting she was but saying he wasn’t responsible.
She also pointed out how unfair it was that people were angry at her, even though she was the one who was hurt.
