Irish rap trio Kneecap have officially canceled their upcoming 2025 U.S. tour, which was scheduled for October.

The announcement and news was shared on Monday through their social media channels. It confirmed that all 15 sold-out U.S. shows are canceled because of ongoing legal proceedings in London involving band member Liam Óg Ó hAnnaidh, better known by his stage name, Mo Chara.

The announcement ends months of speculation about whether the controversial group would perform in the U.S. this fall. Previously, they have faced public backlash over their political stances and a pending terrorism-related charge against Mo Chara. In their statement, the band expressed regret to American fans.

Kneecap took to their official Instagram profile to announce the tour cancellation. Their post read:

"To all our US based fans, we have some bad news. Due to the close proximity of our next court hearing in London on September 26, as the British government continues its witch-hunt, with the start of the U.S. tour, we will have to cancel all 15 U.S. tour dates in October. With every show fully sold out this is news we are sad to deliver."

The post continued:

"But once we win our court case, which we will, we promise to embark on an even bigger tour to all you great heads. Canadian shows are NOT affected and we will be playing our 4 sold out shows in Vancouver and Toronto. We also have some good news. We will be sharing something very special for US fans next week so that we can still link in with you all in October. It's top secret for now but all will be revealed next week, stay tuned. And remember…"The revolution will be no re-run, brothers. The revolution will be live""

Kneecap hinted that they are preparing "something very special" for U.S. fans in October 2025. However, no further details were revealed.

Kneecap consists of rappers Mo Chara, Móglaí Bap, and DJ Próvaí. At a November 2024 London show, Mo Chara allegedly displayed a flag tied to Hezbollah, a Lebanese political and militant group banned in the U.K. He was charged with a terror-related offence in May 2025. He denied the allegations.
