Spanish singer Rosalía created buzz with her recent album, LUX. Soon after its launch, the female idol’s album started breaking records.

On Friday, Spotify announced that 'LUX' became the most-streamed album in a single day in its history by any Spanish-speaking female singer.

The President of Spain, Pedro Sanchez, himself congratulated the Beso hitmaker for her new milestone on November 9. Sanchez took to his X account and wrote,

“Congratulations, ROSALÍA, on the dazzling release of ‘LUX’! You’ve placed Spain at the top of global music with the most successful debut ever by a Spanish-speaking female artist on Spotify, becoming the third most-streamed artist on the entire platform yesterday.”

“There were so many things that I had to play with and take under consideration. Because it’s not just writing. It’s not just on paper. It has to sound good. There’s a big difference for me when I write, for example, a letter for somebody that I love than if I write a song. It has to have a certain sound, a certain intention of musicality.”

In related news, the vocalist hosted a listening party for LUX on November 5. The listening part was organized at the Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya in Barcelona.

The Oval Room was transformed into a fully immersive one using white materials and gentle lighting. Around 900 visitors, politicians, sports celebrities, and musicians listened to the 18-track record in silence due to no-recording restrictions.
