Sabrina Carpenter shared a sultry new video on her social media, and fans eagerly await the Espresso hitmaker’s next musical project. The 15-second video, which wasn’t captioned, shows the singer dressed in a pale pink cropped blouse over short denim shorts and light powder blue platform heels as she unsuccessfully tries to get a free ride in the middle of the desert.

The video, which is mostly quiet, comes alive when Carpenter says, “Oh Boy.” Carpenter’s new video leans towards her usual vintage aesthetic with big hair and bright outfits.

This style is commonly associated with Dolly Parton at the beginning of her career. Carpenter recently collaborated with the legend for the remix of the viral song Please, Please, Please.

Some fans are interpreting the video as an indicator that Carpenter is shooting a new music video for one of the songs from her hit album Short N Sweet. In contrast, others believe that the teaser belonged to another viral earworm from the American singer.

Fans react to the latest video shared by Sabrina Carpenter on social media

A popular music and pop culture news outlet shared Sabrina Carpenter’s new video on X, and @jazllyn tweeted in response:

“Sabrina is coming to save 2025 omg.”

Other X users shared this sentiment, believing Sabrina Carpenter's new music will again dominate the charts.

“Given that it's early June, I'm thinking this might be her move to dominate the summer music scene again, especially since 2025 hasn't seen many big hits yet. After the success of "Short n' Sweet" and her tour, it makes sense she'd keep the momentum going. Can't wait to see what,” @mememediaofx expressed.
“Can’t wait. The teaser has me hooked already. New Sabrina music is always a vibe,” @DasthuB added.
“Sabrina Carpenter vibe is always on point! This teaser just raised the hype,” @shashikumarkr25 gushed.

Movie geeks were quick to point out that the new clip looked like a scene out of an old horror flick and wondered if the pop star was leaning in that direction for a music video.

“Is this going to be hitchhiker serial killer inspired? @saturnz_zz asked.
“This is the start of a horror film? I swear down,” @AdamoCaleb added.
“Looks like a movie set in the 70s where Sabrina is going to be a serial killer or something,” @SadviQZ explained.
