Doja Cat's latest studio album Vie has officially debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 chart. It has earned 57,000 equivalent album units in its first week, according to Luminate. This has triggered notable reactions across the internet. One such user reacted, saying:
"Tanked harder than nicki omg…"
Of the 57,000 units, 31,000 came from streaming, which is equaling over 40 million on-demand plays, and 26,000 from pure sales. This is Doja Cat's best album sales week to date. The project featured a variety of formats, including eight vinyl variants (one signed), two CD editions, a deluxe CD box with a T-shirt, cassette versions, and standard and deluxe digital editions.
Netizens' reactions to Doja Cat's 'Vie' debuting at #4 on Billboard 200
Pop Base took to its official X (formerly Twitter) page to share that,
"‘Vie’ by Doja Cat debuts at #4 on this week's Billboard 200 chart with 57k units sold."
Fans soon weighed in on the comment section of the X post as they penned their thoughts. Below are some of their remarks:
"IT WAS FOR THE ARTS NOT THE CHARTS", declared a fan.
"These little kids keep thinking debuting at #4 is “failing” LMAOOO. Parents come get your kids phones so grown ups can talk. 🥱", commented another.
"its not even bad tbh its serving that raw gatsby 80s pop vibes and i love it ppl have no taste now and it SHOWS", opined a third.
Others also chimed in:
"57K is cool but let’s be honest, the hype around Doja used to be way bigger. Ever since she started trolling fans, people kinda fell off. She’s talented but she’s losing that mainstream grip lowkey.", penned a netizen.
"Not gon lie, the album was solid but not her best. She’s in that weird phase where she is trying to prove a point instead of just making hits. Still, 57K is decent for someone who barely promotes", stated another.
"Wow, hitting #4 on the Billboard 200 is impressive, especially with 26K pure sales. Doja Cat keeps proving she's a force in the music world. I’m curious to see where she goes from here", lauded a third.
