Demi Lovato releases new music
Demi Lovato released the lead single of her upcoming ninth studio album. The song, titled Fast, was released on August 1, 2025. It is a punchy electronic pop track written by the recently married pop star alongside Chloe Angelides, Jake Torrey, and Zhone, who also produced the song.
The lyrics of Fast express the intense emotions that accompany being in love. The first verse reads:
“I'm not so sure I've ever felt like this before/ I can't deny, it feels so right/ I must confess, already got me so obsessed/ Is that alright? Is that alright?”
Demi also released the music video the same day as the single’s release.
“It’s been so inspiring working with Demi and experiencing her journey of continued levelling up. She is such a master in the studio. This album is about letting inhibitions go, and we had so much fun making this music! It really comes across throughout,” her producer Zhone said, describing her upcoming album.
Fast is Demi Lovato’s first pop song in three years.
