Many celebrities are taking to social media to express their thoughts on the Texas floods and to help raise awareness. The flood started after an unprecedented rainfall, which caused the Guadalupe River to overflow. Some of the main areas that were affected by the Texas floods include Kerr County, Burnet County, Travis County, Kendall County, Williamson County, and Tom Green County.
According to reports from the BBC, the current death toll because of the Texas floods stands at 104, while 41 people are still missing. The numbers are still fluctuating, while rescue teams are still working to find the missing people.

Maren Larae Morris, who is a Texas native, took to Instagram on July 5, 2025, to raise awareness about the Texas floods. She posted a carousel of photos of herself in Texas and wrote:
"thinking of my home state right now. the floods are devastating and people are still missing. there are several places to donate but i’ll be donating to an incredibly impactful fund called the Texas Hill Country Community Foundation. they’ve set up a specific fund to support local efforts (nonprofits, local government, first responders and local shelters). link in my stories + bio."
Hilary Duff, who is a Houston native, posted a photo on Instagram. It said:
"Heartbroken doesn't begin to cover it. Consumed. Obsessed. Praying for even a shred of a miracle — to find a child alive in the wake of this boundless disaster. Tears fall every time I imagine one of these families receiving bad news... waiting... or entire families lost. Just gone. It's too much to comprehend."
She continued:
"Beautiful Texas, I love you. To all the boots on the ground — I love you. To those facing tremendous, impossible loss — we are looking at their beautiful faces, embossing them in our minds. We will remember them. Bright lights, gone far too soon."
One of the most affected areas of the Texas floods was a girls' summer camp. Duff also added:
"I was — and will forever be — that girl with a wild hearted, fierce love for my barefoot summers at camp in the Texas Hill country. It imprints on your soul. It changes your identity. It's a realm of true magic. You could never imagine an ending this tragic... I'm just so deeply, absolutely sorry," said Duff. "Your loss is felt across the world."
Another Texas native, Miranda Lambert, took to Instagram to announce that she and her non-profit organization, MuttNation, are supporting the pet community who have been affected by the Texas floods. In a short video clip, the If I Was a Cowboy singer said:
"Hey y'all. Just wanted to jump on here and say how devastated we are to hear about the floods in south and central Texas. I can't even come up with any words for the loss that everybody's suffering. MuttNation Foundation is working really closely with Kerrville Pets Alive as we speak to try to get more info and figure out where the needs are to support the pet community and pet owners in the disaster. We will have more info as it goes, but I'll post everything that I know to post right now."
Besides donating, Lambert is also inviting people to help out animals that have been affected by the Texas floods. She educated her followers on the different ways they can help, such as fostering, volunteering, dropping off supplies, and even reporting missing and found pets. So far, Lambert through MuttNation has raised $14k, with a goal of $15k in mind.
Shakira also took to X on July 6, 2025. She posted:
"Dear San Antonio, Our hearts and prayers are with those affected by the flood in Central Texas. We are donating a portion of tonight’s show proceeds to Catholic Charities of San Antonio, who are providing disaster relief to the families impacted. If you would like to join me in donating, please click on the link below. Your help is important and appreciated," the Hips Don't Lie singer also attached a link where people can donate.
Lana Del Rey also posted a photo on Instagram addressing the Texas floods. She wrote:
"I want to say how sorry I am for so many people's losses in Kerr County and beyond in Texas. We've been thinking of you every day since the floods. All of my prayers are with you every moment of the day this week and may all the angels be with you as you search for even more lost loved ones. I'm so sorry for everyone who's going through this. It's truly unprecedented and I can't even imagine it. All my love."
Billie Eilish reposted a video from the official Texas Parks and Wildlife account to her Instagram story and wrote:
"this is so sad. sending love to Texas."
As Texas continues to reel from the flash flood, celebrities native to the state, and others have spoken up to raise awareness about how the public can help those who have been affected. With rescue operations still underway and many lives affected, every voice and action counts.
