OLTL's Renée Elise Goldsberry receives a Tony nom

Former One Life to Live star Renée Elise Goldsberry (ex-Evangeline Williamson) has been nominated for a Tony Award for her role in Hamilton.

One Life to Live alum Renée Elise Goldsberry (ex-Evangeline Williamson) received a Tony nomination this morning for her work in he hit Broadway musical Hamilton.

Goldsberry's Best Performance by an Actress in a Featured Role in a Musical nod is just one of the musical's record-setting 16 Tony nominations.

Hamilton has been one of the biggest Broadway success stories in history. The show is sold out for the forseeable future and has become one of the rare Broadway shows to crossover into pop culture.

Goldsberry is no stranger to awards shows. In 2006 and 2007 she was nominated in the Outstanding Supporting Actress category of the Daytime Emmys.

The Tony Awards will be broadcast from the Beacon Theater on June 12 on CBS.

Earlier this year, Goldsberry provided some behind-the-scenes photos of Hamilton when the cast performed live for the Grammys telecast.
