A 2022 clip of streamer Kai Cenat reacting to Doechii’s XXL Freshman freestyle rap session has resurfaced on the internet. In the clip, Cenat, dressed in a white tank and a black baseball hat, reacts to a video from the "Anxiety" singer’s freestyle lyrics.
Doechii drops bars as she showcases her lyrical prowess:
“Just stay on beat, and you say I’m the defence/ I could write a book to weigh y'all hoes tried to read me. I’m on chapter D, and / Y’all still under pretence…..”
The Atlanta-based rapper proceeds to let out a scream that makes the streamer remove his earphones. Confused at the sudden outburst, the streamer complained that he had earphones on. Kai Cenat stated that although Doechii rapped peculiarly, he could spot Nicki Minaj’s influence in her style of rapping:
“Oh my f***** God. Damn. I ain’t gone lie, bro. I gotta hear what she’s saying. I think a lot. You can tell that Nicki is highly—heavily inspired by her, but she’s doing it in her own way. You know what? Her flow is Nicki Minaj, but the way she’s delivering it, you know”
Was Kai Cenat shot during the live stream with IShowSpeed?
On June 15, 2025, rumours began circulating on X, formerly known as Twitter, that Kai Cenat was shot and wounded at a live-streaming broadcast hosted by IShowSpeed. The rumours have since been proven as false. Cenat has remained active online since then, posting videos that don’t show any apparent wounds or bruising on his body.
Kai Cenat is set to appear alongside LeBron James on the latter’s barbershop-inspired talk show titled The Shop. The Power Forward for the Lakers shared an image of himself and the popular streamer on his Instagram Stories on June 17, 2025, in anticipation.
Fans have also expressed their eagerness to watch the superstars interact and share their views on different topics. Kai Cenat has expressed his admiration for James on various occasions. He recently engaged in a debate with Stephen. A. Smith on ESPN's First Take and declared that James was better than Michael Jordan:
"I ain’t gonna lie, Stephen. When it comes to LeBron James, you start hating! That’s how I feel!”
Before adding:
"I feel like you’re more of an older generation type of dude; you like Michael Jordan, cool. But listen, every time there’s a debate going on with Michael Jordan and LeBron James, you always got something to say about LBJ. And I’m here to say it: LeBron is better than Jordan. I said it."
