A viral video on X appears to show Drake making a surprise visit to the FaZe mansion as one of the group’s creators, Lacy, is on a live stream. In a video shared by @yoxics on X, while FaZe Lacy is on stream, the door opens and a man dressed in a black monochrome outfit, white sneakers and holding a black briefcase walks in.
Lacy screams, “Hey! It’s Drake!” as the latter’s song plays in the background. The 16-second-video has been played over a million times.
However, a closer look at the clip confirms that it wasn’t Drake who paid FaZe a surprise visit; it was a lookalike posing as the NOKIA hitmaker.
FaZe Lacy responds to criticisms about AI-generated poster announcing stream with NFL player
On June 14, 2025, the Kick and Twitch streamer announced an upcoming live stream with NFL wide receiver Tyreek Hill. The 22-year-old content creator used an AI generated poster of himself and the athlete and fans were not impressed.
Many accused FaZe Lacy of trying to cut costs while others added that he disregarded artistic integrity. Lacy responded to the critics during a Twitch broadcast on June 15, 2025, adding that the poster generated by Artificial Intelligence looked great and didn’t cost him anything to make:
"All the people out there that are b*tching and complaining about people using AI… this poster looks great,” he said. “AI made it. It got made in less than 30 seconds. It was free. I didn’t have to pay someone $150 and wait a day and a half.”
While Lacy admitted that using the AI poster was lazy, he stated that he was left with no other choice given the small timeframe to announce the project and set things in motion:
“I got told about the Tyreek Hill stream an hour before. I don’t have time to wait,” he said.
The FaZe clan member also made the news for revealing on June 12, 2025, that he had begun streaming on both Kick and Twitch, joining the ranks of Tectone and Asmongold. Lacy held his first simultaneous broadcast on the same day and stated:
"Today is my first ever day experimenting and trying out multistreaming. Okay? So, I am currently live right now on Twitch, and also live on Kick on my channel on Kick. So, it's my first day of multistreaming."
Lacy also added that he began multistreaming on both platforms to earn an extra $100,000 every month.
