Yesterday, June 17, 2025, was Diddy's 25-day federal sex trafficking and racketeering trial, and the day began with Judge Arun Subramanian condemning the leak of sealed court details to the press, per NBC News.

The judge opened a probe that included the federal attorneys as well as the defense team and he questioned them about who would have leaked the sealed evidence to the tabloid press.

The criminal trial of Diddy, also known as Sean Combs began on May 5, 2025, and this week marks the sixth week of trial with the prosecution ready to wrap up their case by the end of this week.

Diddy's trial judge warns the legal teams of contempt

Judge Arun Subramanian began the trial by questioning both the legal teams and by the end of his question he said:

''Someone is lying here''

He then went on to mention how he felt that someone in the courtroom violated the court laws, which led to the leak of Combs case details to the press. He also said:

“I will make sure that this commitment is honored, and I will swiftly investigate and punish any violations that took place.''

Both the legal team head, Maurene Comey, the federal lead prosecutor, and the defense team lead Marc Agnifilo denied the involvement of anyone from their teams. However, the judge told them that as they were the head of their teams, he would be individually holding them responsible if someone from their team was found to be involved in the leak. He also warned them that the leak of the sealed order could result in 'civil or criminal contempt,' as per The Hollywood Reporter.

He said:

“Ms. Comey and Mr. Agnifilo, you’re each personally responsible for the conduct of your teams and your clients. There’s no passing the buck anymore. The buck stops with you. If anything happens, then lead counsel is responsible.”

Following the discussion of the legal teams with the judge, the court continued to hear testimonials. On Tuesday, the court heard testimony from special agent DeLeassa Penland, who walked the court through digital evidence, Diddy financial records, and text messages. The digital evidence included the amount Combs had to pay for the damage in hotels, flights purchased to fly the male escorts, etc, as per Fox News.

The court also saw a series of text messages between Diddy and his ex-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura. The defense team cross-challenged the narrative and argued that the relationship between Cassie and Combs was consensual.

The prosecution will hear testimony from Brendan Paul, and will then wrap their case, which will be followed by the defense team's trials. Diddy is facing a five-count federal indictment and has pleaded not guilty to all charges.
