“It just feels so corporate now”: Netizens divided over Fortnite's Season 3 trailer featuring Superman and Robin

The trailer for Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 3 has just dropped, and has generated quite the stir on social media. Several characters, such as Superman, Robin, and Storm Beast, among others, are set to join the battle arena, matching the superhero-themed story that the upcoming season will bring.

The teaser follows the fallout from the last season, as we cut to the scene of a Battle Bus plunging from the sky as players inside the bus panic. Just as all hope seemed to have been lost, the Man of Steel comes in to save the day, much to the relief and delight of the players inside. The teaser was followed by a 51-second trailer that gives a proper introduction to all the superheroes, with Superman's heat vision generating a lot of buzz amongst fans.

Robin is also given a great cameo in the trailer, although his entrance pales in comparison to the Man of Steel. With the upcoming Fortnite season set to be superhero-themed, the introduction of other superheroes was to be expected, and the trailer has delivered on that front, with several other superheroes like Killswitch, Storm Beast, Lightrider, and Ziggy showcasing their impressive abilities.

The outfit and personality of Superman in Fortnite Season 3 have been taken from James Gunn’s upcoming film, in which the Man of Steel is played by David Corenswet. Fans have enjoyed the trailer on social media, but there are still some people who criticize it. While some fans are thrilled by the inclusion of iconic DC characters in the battle verse, others expressed their doubts about the prospect.
