South Korean actress Go Min-si, known for her appearances in TV series such as Love Alarm and Sweet Home, was accused of school bullying a few months back. Although her agency had quickly denied the allegations, she continued to face constant backlash.
On Friday, August 29, 2025, Go Min-si took to her Instagram account to address the matter and clear her name in a lengthy post. Speaking for herself and denying the accusations, she said:
''It is terrifying and appalling how, despite being completely untrue, fabricated words can spread unchecked online, painting someone as guilty in a world where anyone can say anything.''
More on what Go Min-si said about the school bullying accusations
After an anonymous post on a Korean online forum accused the actress of bullying at school, she faced criticism and backlash from netizens online. She was accused of bullying during school, including extortion, verbal abuse, and mocking students with disabilities.
Go Min-si's agency, Mystic Story, swiftly rejected the claims. As per Korea JoongAng Daily, her agency said in a statement that:
''The claims raised on certain online communities under the condition of anonymity are clearly false and groundless. We have appointed a legal representative today. We express deep concern and regret that the reputation of our actor is being damaged due to malicious posts based on false information.''
On Friday, Go Min-si broke her silence on the matter and addressed the situation in a post on social media. She began the statement by saying that over the months, she had kept her silence and endured the hate that was thrown her way, and waited for the investigation to conclude. She then said that keeping quiet any longer felt wrong, and hence she is now speaking up. She added:
''It is true that I spent my teenage days enjoying little mischiefs without much restraint—no one knows this better than I do, and I fully acknowledge that I lived in ways I regret and that I wasn’t perfect. Of course, I have been shaken by various speculations and rumors, but the fact that my past was imperfect does not mean I should be branded with something that is not true.''
She added:
''While the truth of the school violence claims raised anonymously via online communities cannot be fully verified, I agree that it is often difficult to provide clear evidence in such cases. However, being branded as a ‘perpetrator’ and attacked when in fact I am not—this is why I have submitted all possible supporting evidence and the investigation is currently underway.''
She concluded her statement by saying that she hoped everyone would understand her and that the truth would come out soon. Go Min-si was last seen in the romantic drama series Tastefully Yours.
