More from Taylor Swift's new interview, as she recalls the incident involving Zoë Kravitz and her mother Lisa Bonet's pet snake
During her appearance on the Late Night With Seth Meyers, on Wednesday, October 8, Taylor Swift discussed the incident involving the pet snake belonging to Zoë Kravitz's mother, Lisa Bonet. She explained that she was elsewhere during that time, and initially did not know about the pet snake staying at her house. She said:
"We've all got that one friend. I just remember getting a call from my head of security and him trying to explain this story to me. She explained that she was confused and asked "what snake? I was unaware of the presence of the snake."
The "Wildest Dreams" singer further added:
“I kind of found myself listening to this. And I’m like, ‘Uh-huh, OK, OK.’ And I hate to first-and-last name a friend, but it’s important in this situation. OK, so Zoe Kravitz and Lisa Bonet are holding on to a Burmese python. It’s halfway in the wall. There’s a man standing with an ax, who has just chopped up a custom vintage antique cupboard.”
Back in August, Zoë Kravitz was the first one to address the incident during her conversation with Seth Meyers. She explained that she and her mother, Lisa Bonet were living in Taylor Swift's L.A home during the Palisades wildfires. During that time, her mother's pet snake, Orpheus slipped through a crack in the bathroom, which led them to dismantle part of the bathroom by "ripping up the tile" to retrieve the beloved pet.
During her interview, Taylor Swift further added that she was not angry about the incident, infact, she was sad that she did not get to meet the pet snake. She said:
"There’s splinters on the floor. They’re looking — in my mind, this is an Annie Leibovitz shoot..This is a YSL ad and not a problem. I’m sad I didn’t see it. It just sounds incredible."
The Grammy-nominated singer, who recently achieved a new record after her lead single "The Fate of Ophelia" became the fastest song to surpass 100 million Spotify streams, added that it took Zoë Kravitz three weeks to confess about the incident. However, Swift assured the Emmy-nominated actress that she was not angry, adding that she had been "laughing about this for three weeks."
