Christina Perri files for divorce from Paul Costabile after 7 years of marriage, seeks joint custody of daughters

American singer Christina Perri has decided to end her marriage to Paul Costabile. The couple got married in 2017 and has been together for more than seven years. The couple also has two daughters together named Carmella Stanley and Pixie Rose.

TMZ reports that the singer cited irreconcilable differences in the divorce filing and is requesting shared custody of their two daughters, both legally and physically. As for spousal support, the singer doesn't plan on paying Paul Costabile a dime, TMZ reports. Perri has a net worth of $2 million.

As of now, neither has publicly spoken about their marriage to the media, keeping the details under wraps.

When did Paul Costabile propose to Christina Perri?

Paul proposed to Christina Perri in June 2017, four years after first meeting her in a green room where Perri had appeared for an interview. Sharing the news on Instagram, he wrote at that time:

"I knew I wanted to ask this girl to marry me the day she walked into the green screen for an interview almost 4 years ago. I finally asked her right here tonight and she said yes !!!"

A few months later, in December 2017, Paul uploaded another Instagram post announcing their marriage with the caption:

"4 years ago today I met my dream girl in this room. 4 years later today I married my dream girl and best friend. Pretty sure I’m the proudest I’ve EVER been to be able to call the most bellissima person + woman I’ve ever known now my wife!!! Whoa."

Admiring Christina Perri, he continued:

"I thank God for the gift of her, our relationship, our bambino on the way, our family’s love and support and this unforgettable year. And for friends and fam wondering... invites to an official shindig coming soon...now I’m going to go scream this news on rooftops across this town because I AM that guy.""

Christina Perri and Paul Costabile suffered a miscarriage in November 2020. The couple made the news public through their social media. In an Instagram post, Christina Perri shared that she was creating a lullaby album for Rosie, just like the one for her older daughter, Carmella.

Talking about Rosie, Paul Costabile wrote on Instagram:

"she is at peace now and will live forever in our hearts. It’s been a rough couple weeks and we’re so grateful for the outpouring of love and prayers from you all 🤍"
