Darryl Dwayne Granberry (DDG) and his ex-partner, Halle Bailey, have reportedly taken a new turn in their public feud. According to news outlets, the former made a filing as part of Hailey's restraining order to reportedly "prohibit" Hailey from traveling to Italy with their 18-month-old son, Halo.

For those unversed, the Little Mermaid star was granted a restraining order from Darryl to keep a distance from their son, Halo, until the hearing on June 6, 2025. The order can reportedly be extended based on the judge's decision after the hearing, per BBC.

X user @scubaryan_ took to his channel and posted the court's decision on the filing on June 6. According to the photo, the Superior Court of California has "denied" the request and cited that

"it does not meet the requirements of posing a matter of imminent concern."

DDG's emergency filing on June 4 reportedly leveled allegations against Halle Bailey's mental health and noted that it can have "an imminent emotional and psychological risk" on Halo, per Billboard. According to statements retrieved by news outlets, DDG cited in the declaration,

“In or about August 2023, during a particularly volatile argument, petitioner became enraged and threatened to end her life using my legally owned firearm. Without my consent, she took the weapon and left the house."

He added that this was among "several" other instances that posed a "serious threat" to Halle Bailey and Halo. However, the court has denied the request and noted that it doesn't meet the requirements of a restraining order.

According to the Vulture, the court had reportedly allowed Bailey to travel with Halo to Italy for filming purposes. However, in his 44-page filing, Darryl alleged that Bailey was previously “emotionally unwell, incoherent, and potentially suicidal.” Both parties have alleged emotional and physical abuse against each other.

DDG and Halle Bailey's public feud over their child, Halo, has taken multiple turns against the favor of the former. Darryl's lawyers attempted to counter Bailey's initial restraining order and stop her from traveling to Italy. However, the court has reportedly rejected the plea and will decide on the restraining order in their next custody hearing on June 24, 2025.
