Days after online streamer Hasan Piker, also known as HasanAbi, found himself in the middle of controversy with animal abuse allegations, various AI-generated videos of him and his dog, Kaya, have surfaced online. For instance, the X account DramaAlert posted a video on October 16, showing Kaya on Piker’s chair, while the streamer sat on Kaya’s bed.
In the video, he appeared to have a collar around his neck. Kaya wore glasses and, at one point, growled at Piker and turned her head. She then barked into the microphone. DramaAlert captioned the video:
“People are making AI edits of Hasan and his dog.”
This suggests that the video is not real but instead artificially generated. An X user @gosuprime022 responded to this with another video in which Kaya was seen attacking HasanAbi, as a result of which he was electrocuted, and he fell off his chair. This is also an AI-generated video.
Piker came under controversy last week for allegedly using a shock collar on Kaya. However, he had dismissed the claim. Although he had discussed the situation at length during one of his previous streams, he addressed it again during the Fear & podcast on October 13. The conversation came up while they were discussing dog farts. HasanAbi talked about Kaya, saying:
“She doesn't fart often.”
HasanAbi says Kaya is a well-trained dog
HasanAbi said that people online were once again angry with him, this time because they thought he had hurt his dog, Kaya. He mentioned that this was one of the most untrue things people had ever said about him. He joked that he had already been criticized before for buying a house and renting a Porsche, but this rumor about his dog was the most ridiculous one yet. He said:
“A clip went around very quickly and it's awful timing.”
He went on to say:
“Every time Kaya actually walks to her cot, I literally just put my hands up. I'm like I didn't do anything. But yeah, she's obviously spot trained. It's called like when you say the place command, she goes and lays there. It's really good training for service dogs and every other type of dog that's gotten professionally trained. It like calms them down, stuff like that.”
HasanAbi explained that people online thought he was being cruel to his dog because a video made it appear that way. He said he had just come back from France, was very tired, and was frustrated because his internet wasn’t working.
While he was trying to fix everything, he spoke sharply to his dog, and people online began claiming he had used a shock collar on her. He added that the rumors continued to spread, even though some people created humorous memes about it.
Despite that, HasanAbi felt people went a little overboard with the controversy. He said Kaya was the most pampered dog.
