Andy Byron, CEO of New York-based Astronomer, made headlines after a recent appearance at a Coldplay concert at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts. During the show, the tech executive and one of his colleagues, Kristin Cabot, had an awkward “kiss cam” moment when they were caught off guard embracing.

One of Andy Byron’s former employees spoke to New York Post after the clip went viral on social media. The anonymous source claimed the viral incident had “sparked chatter” among his ex-colleagues, before telling the outlet that many of them felt the CEO got what he deserved. The source told NY Post,

“The text groups and chains of former employees are like… everybody’s laughing their a** off and enjoying the hell out of what happened and him getting exposed.”

The ex-employee, who used to report directly to the Astronomer chief executive, branded him a “toxic” boss. They claimed that Andy Byron was known for being:

“An aggressive, sales-obsessed executive.”

However, neither Astronomer nor its CEO has issued a statement, while the latter’s LinkedIn account is no longer active.

The New York-based tech firm has seemingly pulled down its post announcing Kristin Cabot as chief people officer. Us Weekly was first to report that the LinkedIn announcement post is not accessible on Astronomer’s account, while an older version of its webpage is still visible via Internet Archive.

The company hired Cabot as its CPO in November 2024, per an official press release. At the time, Byron, who joined Astronomer in 2023, hailed Cabot for her “exceptional leadership and deep expertise” in areas concerning “talent management, employee engagement, and scaling people strategies.” Andy Byron was quoted saying,

“She is a proven leader at multiple growth-stage companies, and her passion for fostering diverse, collaborative workplaces makes her a perfect fit for Astronomer.”

Before joining Astronomer, Kristin Cabot was employed at firms like Neo4j and ObserveIT (later acquired by Proofpoint). The press release highlighted,

“Cabot has a proven track record of preserving and enriching company culture at organizations experiencing rapid growth.”

Months after she joined, Kristin and Andy were seen together at the Coldplay concert on the night of July 16, 2025. When they appeared on the kiss cam, the pair were seen canoodling. Realizing they were spotted by the camera, Cabot hid her face with her hands, while Andy Byron ducked to conceal himself. Coldplay frontman Chris Martin was heard saying,

“Either they’re having an affair or they’re just very shy.”

According to Newsweek, after the video went viral, the Astronomer CEO’s wife, Megan Kerrigan (formerly known as Megan Kerrigan Byron), reportedly dropped her husband’s last name.
