Sean "Diddy" Combs, 55, is back to making headlines for some of his past activities. Ex‑escort Shawn Dearing, 37, allegedly hired by the rapper, has gone public in an exclusive conversation with People.
During his recent interview with the outlet, published on June 9, Shawn revealed that he was hired over a dozen times between 2014–2017. He was appointed for Combs' private "freak‑offs" involving Cassandra "Cassie" Ventura.
Recalling those incidents, he claimed that "the tone" of those adult parties started transforming.

He explained:
"I just would say overall, the tone was a little darker towards the last times I'd seen them. I got to see the dark side of things."
A look at the former escort's claims about Diddy's s*x parties with Cassie
In this exclusive and surprising chat, Dearing opened up deeply about those encounters, particularly the last ones. As he claimed, it felt like Cassie was present just to perform what she was called for.
Recounting her "freak offs," he added that Ventura’s performance was more like an obligation than her genuine desire. Her reaction seemed mostly like,
"I'm here, I have to perform. Let's do this."
He further chimed in,
"It was more of a 'doing this to please him' type of spirit overall. I can tell when the energy was different."

Alleging that the last encounters involving Cassie were noticeably darker, the ex-escort added that Cassie was just "playing her role."
He later shared:
"It was evil ... and she was under that."
While speaking with People, Shawn also shared his perspective, saying,
"In my opinion, in that situation, she didn't know if this was a beast she could control or not anymore. So she was along for the ride, because she had to, because who knows? Who knows where this beast is going, and there's no way to tame it."
During late 2014 or early 2015, Diddy hired Shawn for the very first time. He found the escort on the Cowboys4Angels website. Dearing stated that he was unaware of who hired him on the online platform.
Most of his encounters with Diddy and Cassie were usually conducted between a bungalow at The Beverly Hills Hotel and a condo off Sunset Blvd. in Los Angeles.

In 2017, Dearing quit escorting. He then relocated to Hawaii. The Bad Boy for Life singer attempted to contact and hire him, but he declined the offer.
Looking back on the reason to leave escorting, he noted,
"I just kind of had to do a lot of personal soul searching, in a sense. I stepped away from that, realizing it was darker. Because honestly, I do care about these ladies. So I had to step away."
Adding more about escorting, he elaborated,
"I never thought that [escorting] was part of my life plan."
Since then, he has changed his life path and decisions. Over time, he shifted to "a different path these days." And now, outside comments and chatter do not bother him anymore.
Thinking about how his perspective has changed over the years, he clarified,
"The truth is, I don't care what anyone says about me. If people would want to think negative thoughts about me, that's on them."
After so many years, he finally spoke openly about escorting for Combs to support Ventura’s account, prompted by the disclosure of his identity by prosecutors.
