Day 17 of Sean Diddy Combs wrapped up on June 5, with a stern warning by presiding Judge Subramaniam towards the music mogul. According to the BBC, Bryana Bongolan, a friend of Cassie Ventura (Combs' former partner), took to the stands on June 5 and alleged that Combs held her on the balcony's railing for approximately "10 to 15 seconds" before throwing her on the balcony furniture.

After the cross-examination ended and the witness stepped down, Judge Subramaniam made the warning to Diddy and one of his primary attorneys, Marc Agnifilo. He noted that Combs was seen twice "vigorously nodding" towards the witness testimony and subsequently eyeing the jury.

According to NBC News, the defendant is reportedly not allowed to have any form of communication with the jury, especially during the trial. The judge warned the defendant and his attorneys that such actions wouldn't be tolerated and could bar the former's presence in the courtroom.

What did Judge Subramaniam say in response to Diddy's actions in the courtroom?

On Day 17, Judge Subramaniam reportedly raised a stern warning to Diddy and his attorneys during the break. According to the Inner City Press, the judge noted,

"Mr Agnifilo, your client was looking at jurors and nodding vigorously. This can't continue or I will give a limiting instruction you won't like, or other measures including barring your client from the courtroom. Do you understand?"

He said,

“I was very clear there should be no facial expressions to the jury, and I could not have been clearer."

Agnifilo reportedly responded,

“No, your honour, it’s not going to happen again.”

According to Variety, Diddy has previously made expressions towards the jurors and reportedly flew a kiss to his mother on Day 2 of his trial.

Following the break, a witness was allowed to testify under the name Jane on Thursday. The woman alleged that she was in a relationship with Diddy and revealed experiences of terrorization and "abuse", according to the Washington Post. According to Judge Subramaniam, the trial is expected to go on for approximately eight weeks.

Judge Subramaniam described Combs' actions as "absolutely unacceptable" and gave a stern warning to him and his attorneys. After the break, Jane took to the stand and described her experiences while being in a relationship with the singer in 2021. Her testimony is reportedly scheduled to resume on June 6, 2025.
