Sean "Diddy" Combs is seeking a lifeline from the Oval Office. The embattled hip-hop mogul, currently serving time for his federal s*x-crimes conviction, has reportedly asked President Donald Trump for a pardon, a revelation that the president himself confirmed on Monday, Oct. 6.

During a White House press briefing, Trump told reporters at the executive office that Diddy requested a presidential pardon as he is set to serve 50 months behind bars, roughly four years, on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution.

"A lot of people have asked me for pardons. I call him Puff Daddy. He has asked me for a pardon."

When asked for comments on Trump's statement, a representative declined to provide further remarks on the matter.

In August, Diddy's team revealed that the rapper's camp reached out to Trump about a potential pardon. However, the president foreshadowed in an interview that it's improbable to pardon the Bad Boy Records founder.

“Well, he was essentially, I guess, sort of half innocent. Probably. I was very friendly with him, I got along with him great and he seemed like a nice guy."

He added:

"I didn’t know him well. But when I ran for office, he was very hostile and it’s hard.”

At the time, Trump stated that the averse attitude made pardoning the disgraced rapper “more difficult.”

Sean "Diddy" Combs receives 50-month prison sentence

Diddy was sentenced to 50 months in prison on Friday, Oct. 3, after he was found guilty on two counts of transportation for prostitution. Before his sentencing, the former mogul was given a moment to address his family and victims in an emotional statement.

"I want to thank you for giving me the chance to speak up for myself. One of the hardest things I've had to handle is having to be quiet, not being able to express how sorry I am for my actions."

Diddy apologized to his ex, Cassie Ventura, who was one of the crucial witnesses for his trial, and who accused him of physical abuse and s*x trafficking.

"I want to personally apologize to Cassie Ventura for any harm that I've caused her, emotionally or physically. I don't take that lightly."

The "Bad Boy for Life" rapper also expressed his apologies to another ex, who the court recognized as "Jane."

"I didn't mean to hurt you. I'm sorry I brought you into my mess."

In his tearful speech, Diddy pleaded with the judge for leniency, citing that he has "learned my lesson."

"I can't change the past, but I can change the future. I ask your honor for mercy. I beg your honor for mercy. I ask your honor for a chance to be a father again. I ask your honor for a chance to be a son again. I ask your honor for a chance to be a leader in my community again. I ask your honor for a chance to get the help I desperately need to be a better person."
