The singer has revealed that she "immediately" knew something was off between the alleged couple before the clip spread across the internet. Speaking on Capital XTRA Breakfast, Ayra Starr shared her perspective on the viral moment and more.

The "kiss cam" captured the clip of the alleged couple awkwardly jumping apart when projected on the big screen. It was quick to go viral. Later, it was confirmed that they were both married to other people. The moment eventually became the topic of significant debates online. Andy Byron resigned from his CEO position as well.

In the interview, Ayra Starr explained that she was backstage when the infamous 'kiss cam' incident happened. She stated,

"Because I am Nigerian, I knew immediately what it was. This is before it even went viral. The minute I saw it, I knew exactly what it was 'cause I have seen it so many times in person."

Speaking about her Coldplay tour experience, Ayra Starr added:

"It has just been amazing; I can't put words to it. I have never gotten to experience the usual 'bar culture' or just 'going for a drink'. Me, the only time I have seen drink is a bottle, and in the club, you know that's it! This tour I have gotten to experience that, playing pool with the guys and just not caring."

Despite the recent controversy, Coldplay has continued to include the kiss cam as part of their show. At Wembley Stadium in London, Chris Martin also poked fun at the previous viral incident. The cam captured a marriage proposal on screen during the show.

Hilariously, before allowing the man to pop the question, Martin jokingly ran through "security checks" to confirm that the couple were indeed a "genuine couple".
