Celebrities have kept the tradition of bathroom selfies alive at the MET Gala.

The themes of the Met gala might change yearly, but one thing that stays the same is the iconic bathroom group selfies. The trend can be dated back to the earliest mirror selfie taken by Kylie Jenner at the 2017 MET gala featuring her sisters Kim and Kendall, P Diddy, A$AP Rocky and more. Followed by yearly drops by celebrities like Bella Hadid, Billie Eilish and so on.

However, the most iconic part of this is not the shot of stars that gather in the small white tiled bathroom of the MET but the fact that taking photos at the Gala is prohibited. The host of rules set by the Vogue Editor in Chief, Anna Wintour, includes a ban on using phones in any capacity at the event, especially for social media. Anna explicitly stated,

"Guests must abide by a no-phone (and, therefore, no social media) policy once they've entered the museum."

But this has rarely discouraged the people who grace the event, as this year, multiple different stars dropped a host of behind-the-scenes images. In fact, this year, fans were warning Megan Thee Stallion for dropping stories of herself and her friends on her Instagram, in the off chance the rapper gets banned from coming next year.
