Justin Baldoni, who has been involved in a lawsuit with Blake Lively since last year, was previously confronted by her husband, Ryan Reynolds, after he made an alleged fat-shaming comment regarding the Gossip Girl actress. According to People Magazine, this news, which surfaced recently, states that Ryan Reynolds confronted Justin Baldoni back in 2023 during a meeting at the former's New York home, in the presence of Taylor Swift and Hugh Jackman.

According to People Magazine, Blake Lively sued Justin Baldoni last year in December, accusing him of sexual harassment, orchestrating a smear campaign against her, and creating a hostile work environment for her on set.

Just a month later, on January 16, Baldoni launched a $400 million countersuit against the "A Simple Favor" actress, Rya Reynolds, and The New York Times, claiming defamation, civil extortion, and invasion of privacy. The $400 million lawsuit by Baldoni, who has continued to deny the charges against him, was dismissed by the presiding judge in June. The judge also dismissed the $250 million defamation lawsuit he had launched against The New York Times.

More about the new details regarding Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively's lawsuit that involves Taylor Swift and Hugh Jackman

Justin Baldoni directed and starred opposite Blake Lively in the 2024 film It Ends With Us, which has been at the center of controversy from the very beginning. According to People Magazine, in the recently unsealed document, it is stated that the confrontation between Ryan Reynolds and Baldoni took place more than two years ago, on April 25, 2023.

During this heated exchange, Taylor Swift and Hugh Jackman, who are well-known close friends of Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds, were present in the penthouse when the confrontation occurred. According to the document, the Deadpool & Wolverine actor confronted Baldoni and "unloaded" on him about "how horrible it was" that he had allegedly made certain comments about Lively's weight. The document claimed that the Jane the Virgin actor "was fat shaming Blake," and that following the confrontation, he was left "completely embarrassed and apologized and even shared some tears."

These details were recorded in a timeline of events by the co-founder of Wayfarer Studios, Jamey Heath, in a mail, that was sent to Justin Baldoni's publicist more than one year after the incident, in July 2024.

According to US Weekly, a statement released by Baldoni's team addressed the confrontation and explained that he had asked the question regarding her weight only so that he could "avoid injury" during a "lift scene" from the movie. The statement read:

"[The] confrontation by Reynolds and Lively was so aggressive that Baldoni felt he had no choice but to offer repeated (and completely unwarranted) apologies."

Taylor Swift and Hugh Jackman have both kept their distance from the months-long ongoing legal drama. Blake Lively's lawsuit is set to go to trial next year, sometime in March, at the New York Southern District Court.
