Streamer Hasan Piker, also known as HasanAbi, has faced backlash from X user @LosPollosTV for his recent Instagram story about his pet dog, Kaya. The streamer has been under controversy for the past few days, and it began after netizens speculated that Kaya wore a shock collar. Piker had thoroughly dismissed the claim.
On October 9, HasanAbi shared a photo of his dog on his Instagram story and wrote:
“She has no idea shes been the most famous dog on the internet for the past two days because of a coordinated far right/pro Israel slander campaign.”

The X user, @LosPollosTV, reacted to the story, criticizing Piker. They commented:
“This is so nasty. To try to fool and maniuplate everyone by making up that the reason people hate you and want that dog rescued is because they’re “right” or “pro Israel” He’s literally using the deaths of thousands of innocent people as a way to defend himself Sick f*ck.”
HasanAbi has previously addressed the online controversy during his streaming session. He explained that everything turned into a big mess because many people didn’t like him, and most people, including him, loved dogs.
He stated that the video clip appeared unfavorable, which led people to speculate, including claims that he pressed a button on his desk. He added that the worst part was how some people quickly assumed he was hurting his dog, even though he loved his dog more than most people. He said dogs sometimes get hurt on their own.
What did HasanAbi say about Kaya in his recent stream?
During the stream, HasanAbi said that the reactions from people who claimed that he was abusive towards his pet were hilarious. He mentioned that he had been good and careful with Kaya. He said:
“I spend every waking moment with her. She is the love of my life. She's the most important thing in my life. Okay? I love her more than I love most human beings. The notion that I would be abusive to her is obviously ridiculous, but it is what it is.”
Piker went on to say:
“Virtually every single person that has been around us would attest to that for the record. That's number one. So looking at like a 20 second clip over an 8 hour time frame that is negatively framed in a way to make it seem as though like I'm abusive or anything like that, it can reach a much larger audience and if people are oblivious to it, they will get duped by it and it is what it is.”
HasanAbi said that the problem was that people talking about the situation didn’t care to understand it properly. He explained that his dog, Kaya, got off her mat to lie on the wooden floor, which was why he gave her a “place” command.
He said this command was used for different reasons, mainly to calm a dog down if it got too excited or started barking. He added that dogs usually felt better when they followed clear instructions and routines. HasanAbi also mentioned that he wasn’t sure why Kaya suddenly barked or made noise.
