Who was Dutchess Dior? Influencer found dead after pleading for ‘help’, husband shot himself as police closed in

Influencer Dutchess Dior was found dead at her residence in Twin City, Georgia on June 14. Her husband, Shamarcus Jameal Carr shot himself a few hours later after being pursued by the authorities and succumbed to his injuries.

Dutchess Dior was a social media influencer, whose real name was Zaria Khadejah Carr. A mother of two, Carr also ran a hair service in Statesboro, Georgia, according to her Facebook page. A source confirmed to People Magazine that the 27-year-old Carr was the face behind the Dutchess Dior account.

Before she was found dead, Carr took to her Facebook page to write pleas for help during the evening of June 14. On the Dutchess Dior Facebook page, Carr wrote,

“I really don’t know what to do .. but i need help before i lose my life or freedom ! My kids need me !”

The source which confirmed Carr’s identity to People Magazine also noted that Shamarcus Carr ran a page titled ‘The Frenchman’ on Facebook and was a French bulldog breeder.

What happened to Dutchess Dior and her husband on June 14?

Georgia Bureau of Investigation’s press release recounted the events of the fateful night of June 14 when both Zaria Khadejah Carr and her husband Shamarcus died.

When responding to a domestic disturbance in Emanuel County, Georgia, law enforcement found Carr unconscious at around 9:30 p.m., later pronouncing her dead. Her husband, Shamarcus was missing and her car was also not found at the residence, according to the press release.

An alert was put on Carr's car, which was located at Wayne County at 11:00 p.m.. The Wayne County sheriff’s office pursued the car with Shamarcus inside, however, he shot himself. After being taken to a hospital, Shamarcus passed away.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation noted that the investigation into Carr’s death is ongoing, and an autopsy would be performed on her body. Meanwhile, Shamarcus’ death will be investigated by the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.

Dutchess Dior put up concerning posts before she died

A few hours before she pled for help on Facebook, Zaria Khadejah Carr took to the social media platform to write worrying notes on her Dutchess Dior page on June 14. Carr spoke about the pressures she was under, and wrote,

“I really be too loving & too forgiving. Ima good ass woman but to the wrong boy. What you know bout carrying the load while being embarrassed, disrespected and steady helping a man fight demons. You can’t make nobody happy that’s not happy with themselves!”

Carr also referenced the mental and emotional toll on her, and added,

“You gone mentally and emotionally drain yourself holding on to NOTHING ! I walk through pain with a smile cause i look at any situation like God showing me sumn. A man ain’t making shit happen for me , I’m the face behind me, my kids , and the n***a too !”

Carr also went on to write in another post,

“Somebody tell me how this boy getting all my text and calls”

While it was unclear who she was referring to, Carr did note that she herself was angry, and taking to the comments section, wrote,

“Shit really starting to piss me off”

While the cause of Carr’s death is unclear, it remains to be seen what the autopsy conducted by investigators reveals about the hours leading up to her untimely death.
