Armon Wiggins addressed the viral “more oil” moment, which happened in front of Diddy’s trial courthouse in Manhattan, New York. In an exclusive interview with TMZ, Armon Wiggins revealed that Luenell reached out to him during the backlash and gave him a pep talk.

“People did DM me. People were like What's going on? But you know. I got to shout out to my aunt Luenell. Luenell has been a supporter of mine for a long time. She told me it looked crazy as hell. She definitely did tell me that, but she said she's been watching me for so long, so she understood it, right?”

He continued:

“And so she just kind of gave me a pep talk and supported me, but she also told me it looked crazy. You know where Luenell stands with the Diddy situation, she is not a Diddy supporter in any way, but I was appreciative because I know where she stands and she didn't take it personally.”
“I think a lot of times, not to discredit it, but people just jumped on it because it was a viral headline. But after a little bit, people were kind of like, okay, we get it now. Like it wasn't like that, I wanna be done. I wanna be oiled out, the baby oil is gone. We are over it, moving on to the next thing. I'm oiled out. You guys got it. I learned a big lesson from it because at the end of the day, accountability is key whether I meant it or it was my intention or not. It did affect people because I can't assume everyone knows me and everyone is watching because they are not,” he added, concluding the interview.

More details on Armon Wiggins' viral “baby oil” moment

Armon Wiggins is a popular YouTuber who independently moved from Los Angeles to New York to cover the trial of Sean Diddy Combs. On Wednesday, July 2, he went viral after a video of him dancing and chanting “more oil” while covering himself with baby oil circulated on social media.

The stunt happened after the Bad Boy Records founder was found not guilty of his racketeering and human trafficking charges, leading netizens to accuse Armon of celebrating the music mogul’s legal victory.

On July 3, 2025, Armon Wiggins took to his official Instagram to address the issue.

“I’m learning, I’m listening, and I’m moving forward with even more care and clarity," he captioned the post.
“Yesterday, a clip of me outside the courthouse went viral and was taken out of context. What started as a lighthearted moment, part of a long-running joke with my audience, was misinterpreted as support for Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs. That was never my intention,” the YouTuber wrote.

He added, stressing his commitment to giving an impartial and unbiased trial breakdown.

“For the past 60 days, I’ve worked hard to cover this case with honesty and objectivity. That moment was about sharing a bit of levity with the community that’s been on this journey with me, nothing more. Still, I fully understand how the timing and optics may have felt hurtful, especially to survivors of abuse. I sincerely apologize to anyone who was impacted or disappointed. This has been a reminder to move with greater care, and I remain committed to doing this work with integrity and heart.”
