Doja Cat is one of the few celebrities who can make a statement on the red carpet. The 2025 VMAs are underway, and the 29-year-old American rapper and singer decided to stir the audience with her outfit and bold move.
The 2025 MTV Video Music Awards is holding at the UBS Arena in Elmont, New York, and Doja Cat arrived at the venue wearing a stunning Balmain mini dress in pastel blue and yellow. The dress featured a plunging deep V-neckline with deep red trimmings outlining the border.
The long-sleeved dress also had beadwork embellished in the center. Doja paired the look with chunky platform heels in pastel yellow. She accessorized with Chopard jewelry and a red clutch bag shaped like a lipstick from Judith Leiber Couture. The clutch costs $5995.
While posing on the red carpet, Doja reapplied her lipstick before biting off said makeup product.

While walking the red carpet, Doja Cat spoke about her upcoming performance at the event:
“I’m very excited, yes. I get nervous and have a shot or something, but tonight I don't feel like I need it, which I don't know. It's like scary almost."
She added:
“If I have anxiety, I will, but I feel pretty good, yeah.”
Doja Cat was nominated and would also be performing at the event.
