What happened to Lamarr Wilson, the tech lifestyle star? Cause of death revealed following family announcement

Award-winning tech influencer Lamarr Wilson, who became famous due to his reviews of technological brands and products, died at age 48. The news was confirmed by his family members on December 13.

Weeks after his passing, his cause of death and other information have been determined by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner's Office.

According to reports by People magazine, the late tech guru died at a residence on Friday, November 21. The L.A. County Medical Examiner's Office determined his manner of death was suicide.

On December 13, Lamarr Wilson’s family took to Facebook to announce the tech influencer’s passing. They shared his photos with a lengthy statement detailing Lamarr’s achievements.

“It is with deep feelings of hurt pain that The Family of LaMarr Wilson would like to make this statement regarding our beloved Family member LaMarr Wilson passing and what he aspired to become with Youtube, Google and All his Social Media Platforms he loved working with.”

The statement continued:

“Known for his Amazing Comedic Style of Tech. Known as ‘That Unboxing Guy’ Social Media Star Unboxing Videos, and other Related Content. Explaining the Effective use of each along with the Pros & Cons. LaMarr utilized his knowledge of Technology, Gaming and Entertainment Content. LaMarr is and was the ‘Go To’ member of the Wilson Family.”

His family reported that he had over 2.11M Subscribers and about 308.73M Views on his YouTube Channel. They also shared that he was a Tech Educator in Chicago & Milwaukee Public Schools, a Media Advisor for the I.A.M.W.O.C, and a Judge for the upcoming CES Innovation Awards.

Lamarr’s family concluded the statement by sharing how heartbreaking his death was to them.

“We the Wilson Family are heart broken with this news of LaMarr's passing as he had so many projects in the making, scheduled and contracted with various tech and media companies requesting his expertise and all of these accomplishments and achievements he could add to his Portfolio as he mentioned on one of his social media platforms.”

They added:

“We have so much love for his manage Team Agents as well all the fans he mentored helped or inspired. Sincerely, Family of LaMarr Wilson.”
