Kim Hieora last acted in the Korean drama The Uncanny Counter Season 2: Counter Punch, released in 2023. The actress is also playing a role in the upcoming movie, Savior, which is under post-production as of now. The movie will be released on November 5 in Korea, according to Koreaboo.

The actress, who had previously become a suspect in school violence claims, broke her silence in the recent press conference of the movie, which took place on October 22.

Speaking of the same, she said:

"At that time, I personally met with the people who were involved and through deep conversations, we were able to clear up the misunderstandings we each had. Since then, we’ve been supporting each other in our respective lives and still keep in touch."

She continued:

"I thought that was also something I needed to experience, so I spent that time very fully and devoted myself deeply to studying acting. There wasn’t a single day when I didn’t think about acting."

Kim Hieora's career explored

The thirty-six-year-old gained fame from the TV series The Glory, which was themed around school bullying. In the series, Kim Hieora played the role of Lee Sa Ra. Her first TV series was Beyond Evil, where she had a guest role.

Soon after, she landed many roles in a number of TV series, including Hospital Playlist Season 2, Bad and Crazy, Forecasting Love and Weather, Extraordinary Attorney Woo, and Bad Prosecutor. All these dramas were a major hit, with over 7.5 ratings on My Drama List.

Two years back, she also did a special titled tvN O'PENing: Shoot Me and appeared as a guest in a number of shows, including Best Friend Documentary: Table for 4, increasing her overall recognition in the entertainment industry.

While this is Kim Hieora's first project after a two-year hiatus, the actress has been quite active on Instagram in the past months. However, Kim did take a break from uploading posts on Instagram, with her last post in September 2023. She returned to the social media app in June last year with a video and a photo of herself with short bob hair.

Talking about Savior, Kim Hieora said in a statement reported by Chosun Biz:

"This is my first leading role. Even during The Glory, I think I was more excited than thinking 'it absolutely must succeed' like Hye-kyo unnie or Ji-yeon. I just didn't want it to fail. This time, I had no time to treat it as a business where I must make this film succeed; instead I thought, 'Oh, I'm glad I took this role,' and I wanted to work hard without being lacking in acting, without whining that it's hard."
