In a recent Instagram post, uploaded on October 19, Britney Spears told her fans what her grandfather last told her. Revealing the details, she wrote in the caption:

"Me and my grandfather never spoke much but this was the last thing he said to me before he died… he said promise me one thing… people will talk and talk and he said the world can be a very cruel place… he said promise me you wont care what these ignorant people say and lie about you…"

Continuing her caption, she wrote:

"He said you stay fearless… thats in your blood… to be fearless… don’t become crippled and scared and a person explaining yourself so you give them the entitlement to make you less than them… when people really understand the power of your name alone people will test you and do absolutely anything to pull you down…"

Spears added that she now understands the meaning behind her grandfather’s words and why he chose to tell her them. However, she didn’t mention her grandfather’s name in the post.

Revealing the last words, Britney didn't mention which of her grandfathers told her the last words. However, the singer has talked about her grandfather, June Spears, in the past. June is the father of Britney's father, Jamie. He died in 2012 at the age of 82.

June Spears worked as a boilermaker, in the Air Force, and as a police officer. He was married to Emma Jean Forbes. After Emma's death, June reportedly married Jo Ann Blackwell.

"My grandpa passed away when I was 28 !!! I have always worked for my family because it’s all I’ve ever known !!! The past two men I dated sent me list of things their children wanted and they wanted me to buy them !!! I wonder what it would have bee like to feel like parents have their whole lives being taken care of."
