Social media influencer and Sports Illustrated swimsuit model Livvy Dunne revealed that her offer to buy a $1.59 million New York City apartment was rejected. The apartment was previously owned by American baseball pitcher Babe Ruth.

According to Celebrity Net Worth, she has a net worth of $6 million in 2025. Her major earnings come from brand deals after college athletes were allowed to make money in 2021. She also reportedly earned over $10 million through these brand deals.

The 22-year-old posted a video on TikTok saying,

"Guys, I'm so upset. So a few months ago I decided I'm going to make my first real estate purchase, which is so exciting, and I was gonna get an apartment in New York City. But the gag was, it was Babe Ruth's apartment. So naturally I'm telling everybody I'm excited."

She added:

"I was going to buy it, and I was going to pay with cash. Like, I wanted this apartment bad. Like it got to a point where the realtor was so confident."

Livvy Dunne shared that she was so excited about the apartment, she even hired an interior designer to set it up and arrange it to her liking, adding that she didn’t want to use her old college furniture. However, the week she was supposed to get the keys to Babe Ruth’s former apartment, she got a call informing her that the co-op board had rejected her purchase.

Livvy Dunne shares co-op apartment disappointment

The real reason behind her bid being rejected is not yet confirmed. However, Livvy Dunne jokingly said in the video:

"Honestly, it wasn’t financial. It could have been, for all I know, they could have been Alabama fans and I went to LSU. Maybe they didn't want a public figure living there."

Livvy Dunne continued:

"Long story short, don't try to live in a co-op. You might get denied, and you won't get Babe Ruth's apartment."

According to the NY Post, Ruth lived in the apartment for twenty years, from 1920 to 1940. He died in 1948 due to cancer. The apartment features 2.5 bathrooms and three bedrooms. It's a prewar residence located on the seventh floor at 345 W. 88th St.

This leaves Livvy Dunne with no choice but to start her search again for a new apartment in New York City. While the co-op rejection was disappointing, fans are hopeful she’ll find an even better place soon to call her own.
