Who is Randy Madden? Former American Idol contestant arrested on 6 felony counts for alleged sex with minor

Former American Idol contestant Randy Madden was reportedly taken into custody on six felony counts for allegedly engaging in sexual acts with a minor, according to TMZ reports. However, the confirmed age of the minor has not been revealed, keeping it private for now.

The six charges, as per the outlet, include oral copulation of a person under 18 and unlawful sexual intercourse. Other charges against the forty-five-year-old, according to the outlet, are:

"anal and genital penetration by foreign object, sending harmful matter, luring, and dissuading a witness from reporting a crime."

As of now, Randy is out of custody after paying a $100,000 bond.

Madden first appeared on American Idol Season 8, where he performed the song Livin’ On a Prayer. However, he wasn't selected to move forward after the judges turned him down.

Who is Randy Madden?

As per his Facebook profile, Randy Madden graduated in psychology from Pennsylvania State University. Randy has mostly kept his life off social media, with his account set to private. The bio on his Instagram profile says:

"Im a little bit Country & little bit Rock & Roll’ My fashion icon is Elvis Presley"

He has mentioned Casitas Springs, an unincorporated community in California in his social media bio.

Randy Madden has also given a GoFundMe page where he explained in June:

"I don’t have the ability to actually put my foot flat down on the ground. That surgery alone will put me down for 10 to 12 weeks and will require extensive physical therapy. As you may or may not know, I still cannot work in full capacity with doing Hayre and I recently moved so being out for that long is going to extremely affect me financially."

Explaining his condition, he added:

"In summary I believe I need two more surgeries to repair my leg I’ll never be 100%, but I’m improving. I’m still waiting for any help from the state through disability."

According to Shoutout LA, Randy is currently working as a hair salon owner named Ring of Style. Revealing who inspires him, Randy Madden told the outlet during the interview:

"Victor Val Verde is my Hair mentor I dedicate this to him. As well as The Kenton Family who have been a staple in this community and have always believed in me and my dream"
