Drake has paid tribute to late rapper YTN Paco real name Shakur Clarke-Sargeant, who was fatally shot on September 15, 2025, in Scarborough. The rapper was gunned down at a townhouse complex at Galloway and Kingston Roads on September 15, 2025. The God’s Plan hitmaker wrote on Instagram:
“RIP PACO.”
Drake also condemned the violent killing of the rising rap star, writing on X:
"And I wish I could dead all the beefing. RIP YTN PACO."
Drake previously supported YTN Paco by sharing his music on his Instagram stories. Toronto Police have charged one person with Paco’s murder, although details of the suspect haven’t been released. Deputy Sergeant Phillip Campbell gave updates on the case on September 16, 2025:
“We believe there was planning and deliberation.”
He added:
"We have made one arrest in relation to this investigation. And we have one suspect that is still outstanding,”
The suspect was arrested at a high-rise building at 4301 Kingston Rd beside the complex where the shooting allegedly took place. He was led away in handcuffs by security operatives.

Paco, a rising rapper from Scarborough, Toronto, began releasing music in 2020. He amassed over three hundred thousand views on YouTube and earned a cosign from Drake. The 23-year-old rapper was raised in the Kingston-Galloway area and enjoyed support from his community.
He made melodic rap and trap music that featured a blend of strong beats, high energy and lyrics about street life. His hit track No Guidance boasts over a hundred thousand views on YouTube.
Paco gained more popularity after Drake gave a shoutout to him on his Instagram page after he was arrested on gun charges. His debut album featured popular Toronto rappers like Franchize, Duvy, and 2Kz.
