Adin Ross and Young Thug previously met during a livestream on June 12, 2025. They met alongside Neon. During the livestream, Thug was asked for an update regarding his forthcoming album.
The singer replied that he would retire from music and start streaming:
"I’ma stop doing music and start streaming. I think I’m gonna stop. I’m telling ya, I’m done rapping and gonna start streaming. Y’all live a cool life. Y’all go everywhere everyday. Y’all got cats wondering around this b**ch. Y’all got all types of crazy stuff."
Adin Ross has also been a supporter of the Thug even before that, with him pleading for Thug's case in a conversation with Donald Trump. As per Fox5 Atlanta, with Trump sympathized with the rapper's plight, stating:
"So, I heard about him, so I have heard he is being treated very unfair by her, and I would tell her, she's got to treat these patriots that are being all, terrible, all going after him, and I hear Young Thug is being treated...I heard the name. I heard it from other people that he's being treated unfairly. So, he's got to be treated fairly."
Young Thug's forthcoming album is called UY Scuti
Young Thug's forthcoming album is called UY Scuti. The singer first announced the album via a billboard on a California freeway near the Coachella festival. As reported by Uproxx, the billboard read:
"UNIVERSE HAS BEEN TOO QUIET. UNTIL NOW. UY SCUTI."
The tentative date on the billboard for the album's release was May 2025. The album is yet to be released as of the writing of this article. Young Thug was in prison from 2022 to late 2024 due to the YSL RICO Trial.
During that time, the singer did release an album. His third studio album, Business Is Business, was released on June 23, 2023. The album featured guest appearances by Yak Gotti, Lil Uzi Vert, BSlime, Lil Gotit, and Nate Ruess, as well as Drake, Future, 21 Savage, and Travis Scott. There were also appearances by Nicki Minaj and the late Juice WRLD.
The album was successful upon release, eventually topping out at the second spot on the Billboard 200 album chart. It also charted within the top 50 spot of album charts such as the Australian album chart, as Canadian album chart, and more.
Before that, the singer released his debut album in So Much Fun in 2019 and in second studio album, Punk, in 2021. Alongside these solo albums, the singer also released two collaborative albums, Slime Language and Slime Language 2.
