Darryl Dwayne Granberry aka DDG and his ex-girlfriend Halle Bailey have been the focus of much discussion on the internet amid their custody battle. Recently, a TikTok video showing DDG's brother, DuB, in a fist fight was widely circulated on the internet, garnering massive attention.
As per Baller Alert, the fight happened because a heckler was following Darryl, his brother and their crew at DreamCon, and insulting Darryl by calling him 'Doo Doo Garbage'. DuB was then seen in a physical fight, slamming the heckler to the ground in the video.
In a recent court filing, Halle referenced this altercation as she believed that the aggressive behaviour captured in the video posed a threat to her son, Halo.

In a TikTok video going viral on social media, Darryl's brother, DuB, is seen fighting a heckler. It turns out the heckler was insulting and taunting DDG, which led to the fight. The video shows Darryl and DuB walking to the heckler who calls DDG 'Doo Doo Garbage'. The video then shows DuB fighting the heckler and Darryl asking his team not to record the incident.
After the video went viral, Darryl addressed the issue on X Spaces. This is what he said:
''My brother was in fear for his life. The dude was following us around the whole entire Dream Con trying to embarrass us and bully us. I told my brother to check him in terms of, like, check and see if he’s okay, check and see if he needs help. Because y’all know I’m a helpful person. Check and see if this man needs help, check and see if he’s alright because he kept following us. We thought he was, like, a little slow or whatever.''
He then said that the moment was just a skit and that it was neither his or his brother's fault. He also said that the insult that the heckler was hurling at him, calling him 'Doo Doo Garbage,' did not bother him. He said,
''You think I give a f*ck about a n***a calling me Doo Doo Garbage? Absolutely not. I don't care. It does not matter to me. It's just how you say it.''
The Little Mermaid star, Halle, brought up this incident in a recent court filing. On June 5, 2025, the judge denied Darryl’s request to stop Halle Bailey from taking their son out of the country. He alleged that Halle was a serious emotional and mental risk to their child.
In her reply, Halle said that Darryl was twisting the truth about their parenting and mental health, and she also brought up DDG and his brother's viral video as a reference to toxic behaviour around Darryl, as per Complex. This is what the declaration read:
''On Saturday, May 31, 2025, Darryl and his brother were recorded on TikTok being involved in a fist fight with another man. I will bring this video to Court. Darryl and the people around him are aggressive and angry, which leads me to believe this is not a safe environment for Halo."
Netizens reacted to this video, and while some believed that Darryl and his brother's behaviour was violent, others believed that DuB was only protecting his brother.
