Voddie Baucham returned to the U.S. in December last year. Although Baucham never explicitly mentioned the reason for their move, it could be connected to the fact that he was to be announced as one of the founding members of Founders Ministries in 2025.
Before moving back to the U.S., Baucham and his family lived in Zambia for almost 10 years. Voddie took to Facebook and Instagram to share the news of his move back to America, asking his fellow believers to include him and his family in their prayers.
However, just a few months into their move, Voddie Baucham passed away at the age of 56, after
"suffering an emergency medical incident."
When did Voddie Baucham announce that he would be coming back to the U.S.?
In November last year, Voddie Baucham took to Instagram and Facebook to share the news that he would be going back to the U.S. after spending almost a decade in Zambia.
The pastor wrote:
"After nearly a decade in Zambia, the time has come for the Bauchams to repatriate to the USA. There is a longer story, but the short version is, our December-February furlough will be our transition back."
He asked for prayers from his fellow Christians. He wrote:
"PLEASE PRAY! Please pray for everything surrounding the sale of our house in Lusaka. Please pray for ACU. There are many changes on the horizon and our hope is that the best days are ahead. Please pray for us as we work to wrap things up in the next few weeks (we leave December 1st)."
He also asked them to pray for his children and for wisdom. He continued by writing:
"Pray for our children. This transition will not be easy. Pray for wisdom as we seek to follow the Lord in regard to our next move. Pray for our furlough. We still need to take care of a number of things in the U.S. before we settle."
Voddie Baucham announced in November last year that he and his family would return to the U.S. after nearly a decade in Zambia. He asked for prayers to guide their transition and support his children through the change. Sadly, just a few months after moving back, he passed away at the age of 56 following a medical emergency.
