As Diddy’s trial nears its end, 50 Cent, who has used his Instagram to provide a running commentary on the case, has described the latter’s defense lawyer, Marc Agnifilo, as the “worst lawyer.”
In a June 27, 2025, Instagram post, the Candy Shop hitmaker shared an X post of a popular trial update outlet @innercitypress, which featured a part of Agnifilo’s closing statement where he referred to Combs' former girlfriend’s lawyer as the “worst lawyer in the world.” The post read:
"Combs' Agnifilo: She said that she agreed to it, unfortunately. She agreed. That's it. We can be done with it. The house? Jane had the worst lawyer in the world, her low child support from the father, in my opinion. Mr. Combs did the right thing, paying.”
50 Cent responded to Marc Agnifilo’s statement by accusing him of being incompetent and predicting that the Bad Boy label boss would be found guilty of the charges as a result:
“She didn't have the worst lawyer. You are the worst lawyer. Remember the name Marc Agnifilo. He just got Diddy a** 20 years.”
50 Cent earlier criticized Combs' defense for their closing arguments. He stated:
“Damn they did Diddy dirty them closing statements man, I could have done better then that. How much he pay them lawyers?”
Marc Agnifilo describes Diddy’s trial as a “fake trial” in the closing argument
Agnifilo in his closing remarks on Friday, June 27, 2025, described Combs’ trial as a “fake trial,” stating that the government falsely accused the music executive of running a criminal organization that trafficked, abused and kidnapped women.
"For the government to call this a racketeering enterprise, are you kidding me? That's the fake trial I'm telling you about."
The defense attorney added that Combs enjoyed a swinger’s lifestyle with his former girlfriends, Cassie Ventura and Jane, and none of them were victims of sex trafficking. Assistant US Attorney Maurene Comey, in her rebuttal, dismissed the defense attorney’s statements, stating that Combs was trying to blame his victims and the US government for his actions.
She added that Combs’ former girlfriends were subjected to a system of abuse perpetuated by material benefits. She emphasized that Diddy ran an illegal organization, stating that:
“He delegated, and his inner circle handled the dirty work for him.”
The members of the jury are scheduled to reconvene on June 30, 2025, for final instructions from Judge Arun Subramanian.
