In a now-deleted tweet, Jeffery Lamar Williams II, commonly known by his rap name, Young Thug, called Kid Cudi "a rat" after he testified at the ongoing Diddy's sex trafficking trial. During his time on the stand, Cudi testified that he believes Diddy perpetrated several heinous acts against him. Scott Ramon Seguro Mescudi, a.k.a. Kid Cudi, also believed that the reason for all these acts is because of his secret relationship with Diddy's former girlfriend, Cassie Ventura.

While Young Thug did not specifically mention he was supporting Diddy, fans assume that the Constantly Hating rapper is on the Bad Boy Records founder's side since Cudi is testifying against Combs. Here is what Young wrote on his X account before deleting it:

"Dam cudi a rat lol".

Since Thug has deleted the 5-worded tweet, it was reposted by Akademiks and captioned:

"Young Thug called Kid Cudi a rat for testifying against Diddy".

Connections between Young Thug and Diddy

While Young Thug and the former billionaire are not connected through work or music, they have a common denominator. Williams was represented by Brian Steel during the YSL racketeering trial in 2022. Steel's fame rose because of Thug. His trial became one of the longest in the state of Georgia, making history in the process. It lasted for a total of 22 months.

The common denominator, as mentioned, is Brian Steel. He is representing Sean Combs as well in his ongoing sex trafficking trial, which is considered to be one of the most high-profile cases of the decade.

Although Young never mentioned Brian Steel or Diddy in the tweet, many deduced that the X post is a subtle nod to being on the rap mogul's side.

Kid Cudi testifies against Diddy in court on May 22, 2025

Kid Cudi took the stand on Thursday, May 22, and testified against Sean Combs. Cudi spoke out about the many acts he believed Diddy was behind. He testified about the time when Diddy broke into his house after Combs found out about Mescudi and Ventura's relationship.

Scott (Cudi) also testified that he believed the person behind his car blowing up was Diddy. Ventura herself testified that Diddy had told her he would blow up Cudi's car.

Young Thug's deleted tweet may not have meant much under different circumstances. But since Kid Cudi just testified against Diddy in court, the tweet itself speaks volumes.
