Marketing for A Man on the Inside Season 2 is in full swing as the series returns to our small screens. The first season was a cat-and-mouse game between Charles Nieuwendyk and a jewel thief. This time, the president of his daughter's college hires Charles to find his laptop, which is worth $400 million. Therefore, the former professor turned private investigator decides to take this intriguing case.

The trailer reveals that Nieuwendyk goes undercover as a professor at his daughter's college, and there he comes across Mary Steenburgen's Mona Margadoff, whom he is attracted to. Fans celebrated Steenburgen's casting in A Man on the Inside Season 2, as she is Charles Nieuwendyk actor Ted Danson's wife.

Danson recently opened up about working with Steenburgen in a recent The Late Show with Stephen Colbert interview:

"I hate love scenes with other people. They never paid me to do s*x. I kissed. But no, I was the guy who made jokes about s*x, but not actually [film a s*x scene]. But with Mary, she loves me and I love her, and I can throw myself into it because there’s no guilt. If it’s a stranger, it’s like, ‘Oh, this is wrong. Or is it nice? No, no… it’s wrong! I got to not hold myself back [with Mary] and fall madly in love with my wife [on screen]."

Danson comments on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert interview suggest that the actor felt most comfortable in this set of the Netflix show. The A Man on the Inside Season 2 trailer does hint at an adorable chemistry between Ted Danson and Mary Steenburgen. The actor had nothing but praise for his wife when he said:

"Once you meet her, you’ll understand. She’s magnificent and we love each other and we laugh a lot. We both get one ingredient in life, which is so important, that if something goes wrong, you look at yourself knowing and trusting the other person is looking at [themselves], which is what allows you to grow. If you’re with somebody who’s not willing to look at themselves, that doesn’t work."
