Apple TV's comedy series Acapulco debuted its fourth and final season on July 23, 2025. The Austin Winsberg-created show debuted in 2021 and is based on the 2017 Mexican-American comedy movie How to Be a Latin Lover. Despite positive reviews and a strong ensemble cast, the show was cancelled by Apple TV after its fourth season.
The comedy series follows Maximo Gallardo Ramos, a billionaire living in Malibu, who narrates his rags-to-riches story to his curious nephew. Acapulco is primarily set at a luxurious resort in the 1980s, where a young Maximo has just landed a job.
The final season will see the return of stars Eugenio Derbez and Enrique Arrizon as Maximo, along with some supporting characters from the previous seasons. Acapulco Season 4 will also feature some new faces for a fresh storyline.
Here is the complete cast and character guide.
Acapulco Season 4: Returning cast and character guide
The main cast will return for a final season, led by stars Enrique Arrizon and Eugenio Derbez as 1984 Maximo and present-day Maximo, respectively. Both the stars are at the center of their respective narratives, and the final season will see them charting out a path that will have harrowing consequences.
Picking up from the Season 3 finale, after ousting Don Pablo in the 1980s, Maximo will set out on a cutthroat pursuit of power and money, which will ultimately make him a billionaire by 2020. On the other hand, the present-day Maximo will try to return the resort to its former glory, initiating his redemption arc.
The intertwining of both storylines will be interesting to watch in Acapulco Season 4.
Derbez is most famously known for his roles in CODA, The Book of Life, and The Angry Birds Movie 2, and Arrizon has previously appeared in April's Daughter and Marco & Luna.
The returning cast for the final season is as follows:
- Camila Perez as Julia, receptionist at Las Colinas Resort
- Rafael Cebrián as Héctor, head pool boy at Las Colinas Resort
- Regina Reynoso as Sara, Maximo's sister
- Fernando Carsa as Memo, Maximo's best friend
- Jessica Collins as Diane, the current owner of Las Colinas Resort
- Vanessa Bauche as Nora, the widowed mother of Maximo
- Chord Overstreet as Chad, General Manager at Las Colinas Resort
- Carlos Corona as Esteban, a handyman resident
- Regina Orozco as Lupe, head of laundry at Las Colinas Resort
- Jaime Camil as Alejandro Vera, co-owner of the Las Colinas Resort
