In a recent event, America's Got Talent show host Terry Crews shared his thoughts on various topics. He talked about how "competition" is the opposite of "creativity." He also mentioned that competing means comparing yourself to others.

Former NFL player mentioned:

"I believe that competition is the opposite of creativity. Competition is all about comparing yourself to everybody else — looking at them, and then judging yourself. I truly believe you just need to be creative with yourself."

Discussing growth and how everyone views their competitors, Terry spoke about how he manages to stay motivated and continue competing. He said that he has learned to keep telling himself to make it to the finish line. The reason behind that was, as Terry stated, one can't "run uphill" with "downhill" thoughts.

"I know for me, even as you get older, you see people start to run past you. You lose heart," he said. "But the thing is, now, I learn to say to myself, I'll see you at the finish line. You can't run uphill with downhill thoughts," he said.

Further in the discussion, America's Got Talent host advised everyone to talk to themselves. While doing that, he stated that talking "great" and talking about "wonderful things" helps.

Terry mentioned, referring to the physical fitness and mind-body connection, that it was "real." He mentioned that having such thoughts and a connection would take your body exactly "where it needs to go." To do that, he said that everyone should stop comparing themselves to anyone else.

Talking about the mind-body connection, Terry Crews said:

"Always talk great to yourself, always speak wonderful things to yourself, because these uphill thoughts... your mind/body connection is real. It will take your body exactly where it needs to go, and you need to do this all on your own, without comparing yourself to anybody else."

Fans must know how Terry Crews has been a supportive host throughout his time on. He could be seen encouraging participants before their performances. Recently, Boston Dynamics' act on AGT 2025 showed how Terry was shaking hands with a robot dog after its performance.

Terry has been kind and helpful to the AGT performers, both backstage and on stage. He has been part of the reality show for a long time and has been an essential part of the show. Along with the judges, Terry also has the power of the Golden Buzzer.
