Carrie, Charlotte, Miranda, and Lisa are all juggling personal fights in their own ways — from dealing with grief and illness to figuring out new relationships.

So what exactly went down this week, with this episode? Let's just say, death and secrets in store, apart from Carrie finding herself caught between old flames and unfinished stories.

This episode may not have changed everything, but it sure complicates it.

Aidan’s return, Duncan’s manuscript, and the mutton connection in And Just Like That Season 3 Episode 6

Carrie and her neighbor Duncan seem to have hit the reset button. After last week's episode, we now find them bonding over stew and scribbles. Over dinner in his apartment, they exchange drafts — Carrie's fiction and Duncan's Thatcher biography.

This episode of And Just Like That Season 3 is oddly cozy, but not romantic. Carrie even jokes to Aidan later after telling him about dinner with Duncan;

"Now I have acid reflux of the lambs..."

Aidan, meanwhile, shares that his son Wyatt is off to a nature camp. With Wyatt away, Aidan is free to visit New York.

His return, however, doesn't go quite as planned. In a well-meant but hilariously misfired romantic gesture, Aidan breaks Carrie's vintage glass door while throwing pebbles at her window.

To make up for it, he leaves early the next day to track down a replacement, leaving Carrie a handwritten note, which acts as a small moment that screams Sex and the City nostalgia.

Miranda’s big apartment move and Brady’s unexpected charm

Miranda starts the episode at Joy's place, sipping coffee and realizing she is overdue for her own space. She tells Joy;

"I can't become a lesbian cliché and move in after hello..."

With Seema's help, she begins apartment hunting. One near-perfect option comes with a shocking price tag and a whopping $150,000 over asking. Initially angry, Miranda eventually calms down, prioritizing space and friendliness.

However, the surprise this week for And Just Like That Season 3 would be Brady. The teenager we have seen grow through chaos becomes the comforting presence Joy didn't know she needed. Joy admits she is unsure around kids, but Brady effortlessly warms up to her dogs, breaking the tension and giving Miranda hope for blending her new life with her son.

Meanwhile, Charlotte's storyline converges with Miranda's in unexpected ways and the emotional weight of being there for your partner and your friends is at the heart of it all.

Heartbreak and Charlotte’s breaking point

Lisa Todd Wexley faces one of the episode's most gut-punching moments in And Just Like That Season 3. She's deep in editing mode, working with her very attractive collaborator Marion, when her phone, while on silent, misses a call.

Her husband arrives with the tragic news: Her father has passed away from a stroke. "That's my daddy," she cries in his arms. It's raw and deeply human.

She later tells Charlotte,

"I never got to say goodbye... because of work..."

And Charlotte, without missing a beat, comforts her;

"Work that he raised you to do."

Peace, though, doesn't last long. Enter Lucille Highwater, the extravagant funeral planner who turns the memorial into a full Broadway moment, opening with Pippin's Magic to Do.

The funeral in And Just Like That Season 3 Episode 6 hits a high note quiet literally and when Lisa is too overwhelmed to speak, her husband Herbert steps in. Charlotte, who has been bottling up her husband Harry's cancer diagnosis, finally confesses it to Carrie.

She says,

"I'm only telling you because you saw the Depends..."

Carrie's response is simple but solid:

"I'm your vault."

And Just Like That Season 3 Episode 6 reminds us that amid the chaos, missed calls, outrageous real estate, the heart of the show still lies in friendship.

Secrets spilled in pharmacies, grief carried over phone calls, and awkward dinners with old neighbors somehow make this mess oddly comforting. It's not perfect, but it still pulls you in.
