Billy the Kid Season 3 Episode 6 recap: The gang’s mission to rescue Jesse turns deadly

In the previous episode of Billy the Kid Season 3, Sheriff Garrett succeeded in shooting Billy at Pete's home. However, Billy miraculously survives the shot in the latest episode.

But Pete hides it well from Garrett, who, even after taking a shot at Billy, is not given the reward, as Thomas Catron refused to believe without proof. A defeated Garrett then decides to tell Emily the truth about her husband's death to take revenge on Catron.

At the end, Billy decides to rescue Jesse with the help of his gang for his next plan. Although Jesse is rescued, they lose a member in the deadly mission.

Billy the Kid Season 3 Episode 6 recap: Billy survives

In the previous episode of Billy the Kid Season 3, the outlaw was fatally shot by Garrett. In Episode 6, Pete informs that Billy died and asks him to flee his ranch as his Mexican workers would kill him if they learn about him killing Billy. Garrett does that, but later it is shown that Billy was still alive but gravely injured.

Pete takes care of him, and when Garrett comes back to get proof of him killing the outlaw, Pete tells him that his men have taken his body and buried it in a secret location to honor his memories. This becomes a huge problem as, without a body, no one was ready to accept that Billy was dead as the media began to spread the news of the Outlaw's survival.

Elsewhere, Catron also refuses to give $50,000 to Garrett without proof and demeans him. All of Garrett's plans to find the truth fail, as even when he brings the Mexicans in for questioning, they do not tell him anything related to Billy.

In Episode 6 of Billy the Kid Season 3, Billy's health seemed much better after two months, and he finally reunited with Dulcinea and his newborn daughter, Sophia. However, the reunion was cut short as Billy was still in hiding.

Elsewhere, Catron asks Garrett to give away his Sheriff's badge as he thinks he was not cut out to be a good one. An infuriated Garrett decides to take revenge and goes to visit Emily. He reveals to her that the death of her husband was planned by Catron, who later wanted it to look like a s*icide.

When Emily asked him to tell her the name of the man who was hired by Catron, he tried to assault her, but failed when Emily pointed a gun at him and asked him to leave.

Near the end of the episode of Billy the Kid, Season 3, Billy already had a plan to take revenge. But this plan needed Jesse, who was in federal prison. Therefore, with his gang, he decided to get himself out of there.

George collected intel on when would be the best time for their plan to work and for the gang to leave. While the mission of rescuing Jesse is successful, the gang loses Juan, as in the end, he succumbs to his injuries.
