Fan-favorite stars Lim Yoon-a and Lee Chae-min's most liked K-drama, Bon Appétit, Your Majesty, has finally come to an end. After weeks of speculation about the fate of Yeon Ji-young and King Lee-heon, fans got a happy ending.

However, one big question remains: How did King Lee-heon (also known as Yi Heon) travel to the future? As seen in the finale, Lee-heon mentions that it's a secret, but we know that Mangunrok played the major role in his return.

The king's journal is the heart of the K-drama as it brought back his beloved woman in the Joseon era and then helped Lee-heon go to the future when Ji-young sacrificed her life for him. It was a promise that was fulfilled.

When Ji-young took the blow from Prince Jesan, her blood splashed onto Mangunrok, and the book sent her back. However, the king tried to stop the process, and while living the painful moment, he tore a page from the book.

And that torn page would prove to be more important than anyone realized. Curious to know which page King Lee-heon tore during the finale of Bon Appétit, Your Majesty?

Even though Bon Appétit, Your Majesty did not reveal exactly how King Lee-heon traveled to the future, it's evident that he used the torn page of Mangunrok to find Ji-young and activate the time-travel process. In the heartbreaking moment of witnessing Ji-young's return, the king tore one page from the book.

And the page that was taken away was none other than the "Hwanseban", the title Lee-heon gave to the very first dish that Ji-young made. This way, he was able to complete the book and send Ji-young to her world.

However, the torn page remained with Lee-heon in the Joseon era, and it's likely that he used the Hwanseban page to activate Mangunrok and find Ji-young in the future. The King had previously promised Ji-young that if she failed to return to him, he would find her.

And by the end, the history also changed a bit. Earlier, Ji-young studied that the tyrant King died after being dethroned. But when she returned to the future and read the history online, it revealed that Lee-heon went missing.

This also explains that it was King Lee-heon himself and not the reincarnated version. The reason he was nowhere to be found in the Joseon era was that Lee-heon chose to stay with his love in the future.
