Brandi Passante has been a well-known figure in Storage Wars since its inception. She joined the A&E program as a buyer with her longtime colleague Jarrod Schulz. The pair rose to prominence on the show as a result of their television appearance.

When Passante took a long hiatus from the reality program in 2014, people noted her absence. Her partial absence was due to a professional decision for a spinoff project, rather than a personal or show-related issue.

Brandi Passante left the show to record a new reality show called Brandi & Jarrod: Married to the Job. The 2014 spinoff followed the couple's daily lives with their children, Cameron and Payton. Even though the show only lasted one season, Passante returned to Storage Wars and became an essential part.

Brandi Passante’s temporary exit and continued role on Storage Wars

Brandi Passante left Storage Wars in 2014 to co-star in A&E's spinoff series Brandi & Jarrod: Married to the Job. The eight-episode series followed Passante and Schulz as they navigated their personal lives while raising their children. Despite initial enthusiasm, the spinoff was not renewed after the first season due to low ratings.

The brief hiatus did not remove Passante from Storage Wars entirely. According to a July 2025 TV Insider report, she remained a big figure on the show despite working on the spinoff project. Following the termination from Married to the Job, she went full-time to Storage Wars, where she resumed her work as a buyer.

Brandi has been one of the most consistent characters on the show despite numerous cast changes throughout the years. She went on to make appearances in Season 13 and other seasons.

After season 13, which debuted in 2021, her and Schulz's relationship changed since they were no longer bidding together. To demonstrate their professional and personal detachment from one another, they each participated in the auctions separately.

Even following her break from the series, Brandi Passante was continually linked with the series. Her brief exit from Married to the Job was more of a sidestep than a complete departure.

Brandi and Jarrod’s partnership and split

In 1999, Jarrod Schulz and Brandi Passante began dating, and they have been together ever since. They raised two children, had a business together, and made several television appearances, most notably on the show, despite never having been legally married.

The pair subsequently broke up, even though their on-screen banter was sometimes the main focus of their TV performances. In 2020, Passante confirmed during an interview with The Dad Diary that she and Schulz had separated, stating,

“I have them all the time. Twenty-four, seven, they’re here with me, so I have to navigate that.”

She also commented on her parenting experience, saying,

“I did a lot of it on my own anyway, but it’s the scary dad voice in the background that we’re missing.”

Though they were still together during the filming of season 12, which premiered in November 2018, their breakup became public knowledge by the time season 13 aired in 2021. During that season, both appeared on the show but were seen bidding separately for the first time. Passante confirmed the breakup on the show, stating,

“I’m not with Jarrod anymore.”
